My name is Mac Grosel. As a senior in high school at BASIS Scottsdale, we are required to perform a research project in our third trimester. Based on my interest in cars and technology, and that a few friends and family members have been in an accident, I have decided to research the effectiveness of collision avoidance technology. I will be interning at Arizona Collision Experts with my on-sight advisor, Darren Pierce, and my faculty advisor, Adam Atkinson.
For my project, I will be surveying customers of the shop to determine the major causes of automobile accidents. I will then be looking at new safety technologies available from various manufactures to see if they can prevent these types accidents.
Each week I will be updating my blog for each week’s updates.
Here is my project proposal.

It's great to see that this project tackles a huge problem in today's society. Can't wait for updates!
ReplyDeleteI think your research will be very beneficial! I think it'll be interesting to see what causes car crashes, and if collision avoidance technology can prevent these accidents.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! Especially with the advent of self-driving cars, I wonder if one day car crashes will be as rare as plane crashes--maybe your research can take a step in that direction.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great comparison with the planes. I will definitely have to research that.
DeleteMac,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Ellie and I am from Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado. I think your project is really interesting! I was in a crash about 6 months ago, and I think that your topic is very important and relevant today. I have never really been able to understand mechanics, but reading your posts has been interesting and informative. I'm interested to see what your research will lead you to.
